Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos Overview

Share

My family (2 year old, 7 month old, wife) and I recently came back from the Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos. And let me say this… This place is enormous. It really is like 3 or 4 resorts all rolled into one, each with its own unique flavor and experience. There was tons that we loved, but some things we didn’t.

With that said…

When it comes to finding the ultimate all-inclusive location that is also family-friendly, Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa is just the place. These pages will take you deeper than any other site on the Caribbean islands so you know exactly what you are getting before you every book your trip (and you will book a trip here)…

Located in the Caribbean sea and filled with every luxury imaginable, the Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos literally has something for everyone. There are restaurants and activities for all family members and plenty of sunny weather to enjoy every day.

There are several distinct areas, or “villages” at this resort, and each has its own vibe and feel. Let me hit the highlights of each one below… click on the links to get a more indepth review of each area...

Caribbean Village at Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos

We chose to stay in the Caribbean Village. It is the oldest (and least expensive) part of the resort. It is centrally located and provides easy access to every part of the resort.

The main building is located here, along with several top rate restaurants. There are two pools, including one of which is secluded and quiet (so secluded, in fact, that it took us three days to find it again after our initial tour!). Both pools have swim up bars. The main pool had daily activities, including volleyball, and water aerobics. The mood in the Caribbean Village is completely set with the relaxed feeling of life in the islands.

On many nights, the Caribbean Village also played host to “movies on the beach.”

If you enjoy walking along the soft, powdery sand, the Caribbean Village is also ideally located. The pristine beaches are only a short walk from the amazing flowering gardens.

Accommodations at the Caribbean Village include four different honeymoon suites, the Caicos premium room, and the Turquoise deluxe room. The Parrot Cay honeymoon suite is the only room that has a kitchenette and a whirlpool bathroom, making it the ultimate getaway location.

French Village at Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos

Beaches 2 Nights Free

For a more sophisticated air, the French Village brings out all the elegance and charm of Paris. This area is complete with sidewalk bistros surrounded with gorgeous formal gardens.

There is one boulevard that is lined with Cypress and has many restaurants and cafes all along it, including a French Pastry shop (one of my favorite areas of the Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort ;-) ) that is second to none (a short walk from the pool).

We spent most of our days at the enormous French Village pool. I don’t know if it was the sheer size of the pool, or whether it really was that low key, but it made for a perfect relaxing day with our 2 year old son.

The zero-entry pool was perfect for him, and the enormous whirlpool and swim-up bar were perfect for an afternoon of relaxation in the sun for mommy and daddy.

This village has bedroom suites that come with one, two, or three bedrooms included in them. There are also two luxury suites and a honeymoon suite with balconettes located on the second and third floor rooms.

Italian Village at Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos

The Italian Village at Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos is the newest village to be added and the architectural style really makes it feel like Italy is all around you.

Families are at home here with all the Concierge and butler suites, which are the only type of accommodations offered in this village. These spacious rooms provide all the luxury and relaxation that can possibly be provided, even for a family of twelve. There are suites with two bedrooms that offer either ocean view or a water's edge location where the family can walk directly from the room to the water.

All the suites have quaint names, like; Michelangelo Penthouse, Medici Oceanview, Naples, or Siena Penthouse. Since these are for families, they all come with plenty of sleeping space, a separate kids room, an Xbox 360 game console, and many of the regular room amenities. The suites also have refrigerator and microwaves in them, plus the larger suites also have dining tables.

The pool in the Italian village was beautiful, with private cabanas surrounding it, and the ubiquitous swim-up bar. However, we didn’t spend too much time here since it was by far the most crowded of the pools on the resort.

Seaside Village on the Beach at Beaches

Offering a true Caribbean feel, the Seaside Village is a lush tropical area along the salt water and white sand beaches. The seascape is absolutely stunning and there is an authentic air of island bliss. The Presidential Villa Suites offer a personal butler whose sole purpose is to pamper the occupants during their stay in the Seaside Village.

Most of the suites have only one bedroom, but there is one type that offers two bedrooms. These suites are a short walk away from the beach and the two pools of the Caribbean Village. It also has a kitchenette available in it. The Owner's Penthouse is complete with butler service and comes with a wraparound balcony that has a panoramic view of the ocean, pool, and resort grounds.

Little Ones are Included

When it comes to entertaining the kids at Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos, the majority of activities are centrally located close to the Pirates Island Water Park, just outside the Italian Village.

Speaking of the Pirates Island Water Park, it was also expanded with the creation of the Italian Village. With plenty of slides, a surf simulator, and even a lazy river that the whole family can enjoy, the water park is one of the best in the Caribbean islands.

There is a Pirate and Mermaid-themed kids' camp for ages 6 to 12 located in the Italian Village. This area includes arcade games, an Xbox 360 Game Garage, the Beach Science program is held here, there is a games area, and the Crayola Art Camp has plenty of activities as well.

Teens have their own location in the Italian Village as well. There is a teen lounge that takes place in the night club at the resort, but during the day it is strictly for the teen crowd.

The dance floor is sunken and has a view of the lazy river. Kids love this area because they can learn to be their own DJ with the Scratch DJ Academy. Here, they will learn to mix, blend, and scratch on anything from vinyl to an iPod. Even the dining here is geared towards the entire family. There is a Medieval-themed Sesame Street section in the large Italian restaurant, that is a perfect location for the little ones.

This of course says nothing about the Child Care facilities and staff at the Beaches Resort Turks and Caicos, and the Sesame Street experience. Dining & Shopping at Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos

While each of the villages have their own variety of restaurants, anyone staying at Beaches Resorts Turks Caicos location can eat at any of them. It's a good idea to know the required dress code of each one, when deciding to dine at a particular location. Most of them require what is known as Resort Casual, while others actually call for Evening Attire. Just about all of them are non-smoking restaurants and no reservations are required. There are a couple that require reservations, so don't wait until the very last night to try to dine at either of these restaurants.

Also for adults, the two shopping areas (one in the Caribbean Village and one in the Italian Village) is perfect for finding duty-free stores. There is even a fashion boutique, an art gallery with work from local artists, wine tasting events, and places that sell high-end jewelry (like Diamonds International).
